July 2010-July2011 Worked as Lecturer-Automotive Design for DYPDC CARS. College is located in Pune and is mentored by Mr. Dilip Chhabria and run by the D Y Patil Group. Feb2010-march2010 Six week internship as an automotive Designer and worked on a scooter for the Indian market. Pune, India. July 2005-December 2005 Underwent six months industrial training as a car restorer. Searching for prospective vehicle, Dismantling the vehicle, Analyzing the damages, Separating the damaged and re-usable car parts, Searching the required parts, 3-D modeling the untraceable parts, modeling the car for visual analysis were the main jobs I was personally handling. While working with DYP-DC and currently as a freelancer, I deliver Automotive Sketching Workshop across many cities of India. The participants are from varied ages, educational backgrounds and professions. The participants do not have any basic knowledge of sketching. They are introduced to; Design Processes undertaken in design firms/studios. Car segments in the market and their key point according to design. Proper usage of hand skills. Proportions of car segments. Basic sketching of side view of a car. Perspective sketching of the car. Basic reflections on the car surface. Around 450 participants have been benefited with the workshops so far and the number is growing. Interpretation with Design By Chris Bangle. Pune, India. November2010 Successfully completed 4-day workshop with Chris Bangle. The topic of the workshop was aimed at understanding the 3 basic design challenges. It familiarized us with the problems and solution approaches available to the Car Designer in addressing three types of mobility challenges. Challenge 1: The Urban Small Car and the Function of Mobility Challenge 2: The Large Limousine and the Role of Brands Challenge 3: Sports Cars and the Emotion of Speed Aston Martin Thesis Project. IED Turin. 2009 Conceptualized and Designed Aston Martin 2025 Sports Coupe. The coupe is a hybrid vehicle named "Third Mind" based on “cut-up” strips of metal without any heavy chassis follows a new design but at the same time maintains the design language of Aston Martin. Hybrid vehicle is low on cost and is environment friendly. At the conclusion, comprehensive presentation showing all aspects of product development including trend research, demographics, market analysis, ideation, vehicle design and digital model was made. Second proposal was named as "Megla". It was purely a technological concept where the body of the Super-SUV was made out of a special transparency changing material. The material had the ability to change its transparency levels at the will of the owner. It targeted those customers who wanted to be seen yet aloof. Single handedly I conceptualized and designed the complete vehicle and it was presented to Aston Martin. Alstom Tram Workshop. IED Turin. 2008 Studied the basic needs of the Turin commuters and hence, designed a tram for their daily needs. The whole concept revolved around the beautiful city of Turin.
